The national centre of timber excellence for Waiariki Institute of Technology is intended as an iconic building to reflect the importance of this facility. The building has been designed throughout to illustrate practical and innovative ways of using New Zealand’s sustainable forestry products, while reflecting Maori values and sound sustainable principles.
